Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depots Many Nova Scotians can bring residential waste paint and automotive antifreeze to permanent and mobile HHW depots. Contact your local municipality or 1-800-665-LESS (5377) to find out the hours of operation of your municipalitys permanent HHW depot or the date and location of their next mobile HHW depot. Tire Retailers Nova Scotians who purchase new tires can have their used tires sent for recycling through the retailer. Residents can deliver up to 4 tires at no charge to any number of registered tire retailers located throughout the province.
