DO NOT throw your used sharps in the garbage, in recycling bags or in plastic jugs and bottles! Needles and lancets can hurt people collecting and handling garbage and recyclable's. | |
Sharps should only be placed in an approved Safe Sharps Container. | |
For Your Safety and the Safety of Others:
- Do not put syringes, needles or lancets in the garbage or in recycling bags.
- Do not give used syringes, needles or lancets to anyone else.
- Do not flush syringes, needles or lancets down the toilet.
- Do not pick up syringes, needles or lancets with your bare hands.
- Do not burn syringes, needles or lancets.

The safe way to dispose of syringes, needles, and lancets.

Pick up a sharps container at your pharmacy or CDA Supply Centre.
|

Place your used syringes, needles, and lancets into the sharps container.
|

|
When the container is almost full, cap the lid.
|

Return the filled container to your pharmacy or CDA Supply Centre.
