    The deadline for entering the 2011-12 Nova Scotia Recycles Contest has passed. Thanks to all participants for their many great entries! Judging will take place at the end of February, and the winners will be announced shortly thereafter.     RRFB Nova Scotia has kicked off the 12th annual Nova Scotia Recycles Contest! Open to students in grades Primary to 12, the contest challenges them to "Be Super Green!" and help Nova Scotia reach the provincial goal of reducing our solid waste from 420 kg to 300 kg/person/year by 2015.

    The fifteenth Annual General Meeting (AGM) of RRFB Nova Scotia was held on June 23, 2011. During the meeting, RRFB Nova Scotia's board of directors announced that Nova Scotia's 55 municipalities will receive $8.2 million towards the funding of waste diversion initiatives across the province.
