High Tide Eco. Management Limited located in Lantz serves Hants County, parts
of HRM and the Town of Windsor. The company handles organics, recyclables and
garbage collection.

High Tide is noted for providing excellent customer service in the communities where they operate. The staff has received professional customer service training and go out of their way to help customers. In particular, when green organic carts were introduced in the Town of Windsor, High Tide took a special interest in making sure that residents were thoroughly informed about what materials should go in the green carts. High Tide’s attention to detail in organics green cart collection has resulted in high quality compost being produced at Northridge Farms. Now High Tide has gone even further by arranging for damaged green carts to be recycled in HRM and Hants County.

High Tide is also active in the community and is the official “pumpkin hauler” for the Pumpkin Regatta held each Thanksgiving weekend. Last year, High Tide hauled away 10,000 lbs of pumpkins that were converted into compost.

Kevin Murphy, owner of High Tide Eco. Management, accepted the RRFB Nova Scotia Mobius Environmental Award for Hauler of the Year on behalf of his company.
