Thanks to the efforts of Nova Scotians, this province has become a leader in waste reduction in Canada and around the world. While social change is often incremental, we make every effort to recognize those who are taking a leadership role in their community, school or industry.

Nova Scotia Recycles Contest

Every Autumn, RRFB Nova Scotia launches its annual school contest as an opportunity for young people to take action and promote waste reduction in their community. The contest encourages participation in recycling and composting programs, and celebrates the ongoing role of Nova Scotia youth in making this province a recognized leader in waste reduction.

Mobius Environmental Awards

Held annually, RRFB Nova Scotia accepts nominations for the Mobius Environmental Awards in a variety of categories. Our aim is to recognize the achievements of innovative Nova Scotians who have helped make our province a leader in waste reduction.
